Terms of Service Agreement with Ready Set Go Driving School

Important Notice: Services will not be rendered without the appropriate learner's permit or driver's license.

The parent or guardian hereby authorizes the student to participate in the program, affirming that the student meets all physical requirements mandated by law for the issuance of a motor vehicle operator’s license. Additionally, the student must be at least 15 years and 6 months of age (verification via birth certificate is required).

1. Refund Policy: All services, whether completed or incomplete, are non-refundable.

2. Transportation Services: Ready Set Go Driving School will arrange for pick-up and drop-off of students at designated times and locations. Both the pick-up and drop-off points must align with areas predefined by the school. Any alterations to these arrangements must be approved by the school office and the parents or guardians of minor students.

3. Required Documentation for Behind-the-Wheel Training:

   • Acceptance of Ready Set Go Driving School Terms

   • Learner’s Permit issued by DMV

   • Payment

4. Payment Terms: Payment is required prior to the commencement of each lesson, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon with the office.

   • Credit card payments can be processed via telephone or through the Ready Set Go Driving School website.

   • Students must schedule their DMV behind-the-wheel test appointment independently. To utilize our vehicle for this purpose, please contact the school. Should the DMV package, which includes one hour of training and one hour for the test, extend beyond two hours, a fee of $25 will be imposed for every additional 30 minutes. The school will reach out within 1-30 days for payment of any extra time.

   • If, after the one-hour training, the instructor assesses that the student’s driving poses a safety risk, the school reserves the right to deny vehicle rental for the DMV test. This decision is reserved for serious safety concerns and does not encompass minor errors.

5. Cancellation Policy: Any changes or cancellations to scheduled appointments must be made at least 30 hours prior to the lesson. Failures to comply with this notice period will incur a fee of $50, and the student's account will become inactive. This fee must be settled before rescheduling the cancelled appointment. Existing future appointments will remain unaffected.

6. Notification of Cancellations: The Ready Set Go Driving School office will inform the student and/or parent/guardian if an appointment must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to inclement weather or vehicle malfunctions.

7. Attire Guidelines: Students are required to wear prescription glasses or contact lenses if necessary. Closed-toed shoes and sunglasses are highly recommended.

8. Electronic Device Policy: The use of cell phones or any electronic devices is strictly prohibited during driving lessons.

9. Completion Timeline: Students have one year to complete all driving sessions.

10. Breaks During Sessions: A brief break of 3 to 5 minutes will be incorporated during each 2-hour session.

11. Media Release Consent: You authorize Ready Set Go Driving School to post photographs of students who pass their driving tests on social media, unless a request to refrain from doing so is submitted.

12. Non-Disparagement Agreement: Clients are prohibited from making negative statements, reviews, or comments regarding Ready Set Go Driving School or its instructors across any medium, including but not limited to social media platforms. Any dissatisfaction with our services should be communicated directly to us for resolution. Restrictions apply.

13. Certificate of Completion: A Behind-the-Wheel Completion Certificate (DL 400D) is required for teenagers. If the $25 fee has been paid, the certificate will be issued at the conclusion of the third 2-hour lesson. Should the fee remain unpaid, it must be settled following the session, with delays anticipated for mailed delivery. A replacement fee of $25 will apply for lost forms.

14. Guarantee Licensing Program: The fee for this program is $2,950, payable upfront. If additional sessions are necessary due to the student’s specific needs (e.g., mental or physical disabilities), further charges may apply. We guarantee to provide adequate training for student licensure without caps on sessions or expiration dates. Classes will be provided 2-3 times per week, and it is our responsibility to train the student effectively to pass the driving exam. Should the student fail after three sessions, an additional test fee of $150 is applicable.

15. Vehicle Monitoring: All our vehicles are equipped with audio and visual recording devices.

16. Sexual Harassment Policy: Ready Set Go Driving School is committed to preventing harassment of any form. Sexual harassment, as defined by California law, is strictly prohibited. This includes:

• Verbal harassment (name-calling, explicit jokes)

• Physical harassment (inappropriate touching)

• Visual harassment (derogatory images, sexual depictions)

• Sexual favors (threats or quid pro quo situations)
